Audien - Iris

Another huge release from AnjunaBeats in the form of American sensation Audien. With a collection of his tracks already notable within the dance world, this progressive synth masterclass full of a stabbing melody and clean piano hooks is definitely a statement of intent from the Connecticut based star. Check this one out, set for release on 1st July.

Mark Sixma, who's track 'Requiem' is one of my favourite big room trance tracks, comes back with a preview for this big room banger. Ivory D'or - Flashback EP

Ivory D'or out with 3 track EP. I stumbled across this guy on Soundcloud and cant find to much about him. The only information displayed on his wall is 'Building a musical spaceship'. He has one other released track on his sound cloud which is a remix, but these two tunes from the flashback EP are particularly caught my attention, have a listen. 

Hannah Wants & Chris Lorenzo ft. Janai - Signs

Hannah Wants & Chris Lorenzo out with yet another song. The two are both pioneers to House and Bass with countless impressive tunes. Check out there new track 'Signs' with a different style, more chilled with vocals by Janai combined with a powerful baseline.  

Freddy Todd - Delic Licious

I don't anything about this song apart from the fact that it rocks. Amazing energy and funky stabs in this big glitchhop track. Check it out now!

Eats Everything and Justin Martin - The Gettup

Dirtybird residents Eats Everything and Justin Martin collaborate on this soul drenched track featuring a dreamy vocal sample that resonates throughout. The breakdown really draws out the vocals, stretching the sample further before the drop to really keep us on the edge. Subby stabs add a funky element to what is a fantastic track. SPOTLIGHT : Mampi Swift

Phil Anim, also known as the prolific Mampi Swift, started his career as a DJ and has been involved in the Drum N Bass scene since the early 90s. After landing a job at Lucky Spin records, Swift soon set up his own label called Charge Recordings which produced a chain reaction of big releases pushing the  London based star to the top of the DnB tree. The release of his track ' The One ' in late 1997 cemented his place as one of the big names in the genre. Posted below are a few of my personal favourites by him, packed with double drops, huge bass lines and catchy beats. Make sure you check out 'Gangster' a serious tune.

Michael Woods - Clanga ( Original Mix ) [ PREVIEW ]

Progressive master Michael Woods releases this big room banger, fresh off his release of Platinum Chains, showing his ability to adapt to different spectrums of the electronic genre. With his signature progressive buildup the drop consists of a huge liquid bassline making me even more excited to see him at Creamfields this summer.

Tupac Tribute

       
Although this blog mainly showcases electronic music I thought it was more than fitting to pay a tribute to Hip Hop legend Tupac Amaru Shakur. Selling 75 million albums worldwide, the New York born icon is one of the best selling artists of all time. I've posted a few of my favourite tracks by him, which are easily listenable in any mood. Born 42 years ago today, his legacy is still intact. RIP Tupac

This is another track i heard last friday night at MOS with Markus Schulz. This track brings ridiculous amounts of euphoria everytime i listen to it, with a beautiful hands in the air synth line that sends shivers down my spine. This is Ferry and Markus' hard sound and its raw best. Enjoy!

As if a Hot Since 82 banger wasn't enough for one day, out comes Shadow Child with this bass heavy banger. No doubt this track is huge, something big for the clubs tonight. Enjoy!

Schodt & Sundriver feat. Aida Fenhel - Here With Me (Terry Da Libra Remix)

Originally released in 2010, trance producers Schodt and Sundriver produced this euphoric progressive trance track, featuring the amazing vocals of Aida Fenhal. Terry Da Libra, has taken a modern turn of this track, focusing mainly on making the vocals the important part of the song yet still delivering big basslines and punchy percussions.

Objekt - Unglued

Berlin based Objekt provides this amazing track that dances the line between art and music, full of amazing rhythms and a brilliant energy. Its a track to shut everything else off for and just listen. Enjoy!

Eminence & RedMoon (Ft. CoMa - Lies)

It's always great when two artists you're fond of collaborate to create a great track. This ones straight up electro house with some cool acid synths and a beautiful vocal from CoMa. The way the white noise cuts out after 2 bars of the drop reminds me of 'Human' by Nicky Romero and Zedd, giving the track a really cool groove. Check this one out now!

New World Punx - Romper

Huge track heard by us on Friday night in Markus Schulz's 6 hour set at MOS. This is a collaboration between him and Ferry Corsten, who operate together under the monikor of "New World Punx". Needless to say this track is huge, so give it a listen now!

Jackin proves dance music is alive and bouncing - but mainly outside London [ ARTICLE ]

Jackin House is certainly a hit here at Rutherfordhau5. All three of us listen to the genre regularly and crave that summer moment listening to Hannah Wants in a huge underground warehouse. This article is very interesting, particularly noting that London is in the background of this genre with Northern cities such as Leeds and Birmingham offering the full experience. The article also discusses how the ' Godfather ' of Jackin Chris Lorenzo, continues to create the beats and move the crowds.  Check it out

Eric Prydz previews new Pryda Track

Swedish legend Prydz has recently teased a new track under his alias, Pyrda. Full of the Swedes complex chord structure and progressive style this one is released on June 17th.

SPOTLIGHT: JOBE

JOBE is originally from Newcastle, a place surrounded by dance music which lead his down to East London. He got into a music career from an early age producing songs in variety of genres. Hes experimented with Deep and Tech House and more recently been drawn towards the up and coming Nu Disco/ Indie Dance, in which one of his releases (the JAM) got #2 place in Nu Disco/ Indie Dance top 10 chart.




His other tunes more involved in the tech/deep house side have similar elastic sounds used through out the his tracks.

SecondCity - EP snippet

Finally...
I first heard SecondCity - 'The Story' on Mista Jams podcast on BBC1xtra a couple of months back. From then on i have been trying to find this song and it has finally been released as a snippet along with 3 other songs in EP that have potential. 'The story' has been used in mixes by the likes of Hannah Wants, MY NU Leng, Shadow Child, Redlight and again Mista Jam.

EDX - Everything [ FLASHBACK ]

Italian producer EDX has one of the most unique progressive sounds out there. This track was probably one of my most played sounds last summer, featuring euphoric vocals and a melodic progressive structure. Definitely check this out

CLOSE, the new production alias of the brilliant Will Saul, who we all enjoyed an amazing set from at Fabric London, has been busy working on the album, Get Closer, set to release next month. He now presents us with another of the tracks, entitled My Way, full of smooth emotive vocals from Joe Dukie. This amazing remix comes from Dusky, who's "Don't Go" remix is still a favourite track of mine. Enjoy this brilliant track!

Deadmau5's recent samples/previews

Arguably one of the world's most creative, talented and controversial DJ's Joel Zimmerman also known as the iconic Deadmau5, has released a few samples of things to come on his soundcloud page. Fresh off his release of ' Album Title Goes Here ' one of my favourite albums of last year, he shows his unconventional style experimenting with his exceptional synth arrangement and melodic almost trance like build - ups. Annoyingly many of the tracks he published did not have any drops in, but I'm sure they'll be worth the wait. Also previewed, his collaboration with Kill The Noise, in 'Killthemau5.' 

O'Flynn Music - Mantle

Must Die! - Nobody (CRNKN REMIX)

Based in LA, 20 year-old Gabe Baer, better known as CRNKN. Mainly known as an EDM  producer but experimental with other genres such as trap which more of his recent tunes have been focused around. However the song 'Nobody' remix has a complete different feel to it with a familiar sounding electro build up yet with a drop which has more of a minimal tech feel to it creating a great mix. 

Hardwell & Dyro feat. Bright Lights - Never Say Goodbye [ RELEASE ]

Huge release. Hardwell and Dyro premiered their hit single ' Never Say Goodbye ' at UMF 2013 in Hardwell's incredible set, and since then the duo have been hinting at a release. Now its here, you should seriously check it out. Featuring euphoric vocals from Bright Lights, the singer behind Zedd's ' Follow You Down ' this track feautures everything, from lengthy synth textures to a melodic progressive build up, smashing into a thumping bassline. Dutch powerhouse Tiesto who's been adapting to different genres under the electronic umbrella, shows his worth again with this euphoric and melodic progressive banger featuring unbelievable vocals from Kyler England. Released 5 days ago I originally wasn't a fan of this track, not choosing to post it. However listening it to more and more I love it, and I'm sure this will be a prominent summer soundtrack, check it out.

Disclosure ft. Eliza Doolittle - You & Me ( Baauer Remix )

Rising stars in the electronic music industry, Disclosure,  hand over their hot release You & Me to the Harlem Shake pioneer Baauer. It is safe to say that since that ridiculous over hype, Baauer's music has not been the same and the records that I once loved have been tarnished slightly. However this new remix, which keeps the same upbeat lyrics, is a very different approach from the New Yorker. But I love it, consisting of snares, claps and horns there is so much going on in the track. Definitely check this out.

Rusko - Skanker [ FLASHBACK ]

Thought I'd share with you a few classic tracks from English dubstep producer Chris Mercer aka RUSKO. His music is full of passion, pounding dubstep sub bass frequencies and sometimes portrays the darker more underground side of the genre. Guildford born Drum n Bass sensation Sub Focus, fresh off his recent release of Endorphins has uploaded a 25 minute mix on soundcloud. Ranging from remixes of his original classics such as Falling Down, to harder dubstep and even some trap. Overall a really good mix getting me seriously excited for seeing him this summer.

Glastonbury born House and Techno legend Will Saul has just released his essential mix after 3 months of collecting, previewing and testing out different hot and classic tracks. After seeing him at an incredible live set at Fabric I immediately went scouring for his tracks. His duo C L O S E has some classy tunes which you should definitely check out. Have a listen to this mix, featuring a huge range of tracks, starting from mellow and building up at the end.

Organ Donors - Ket Is For Horses

This track is absolutely hilarious, and a really awesome tune. These guys have been producing in the Hardstyle/Hard Trance/Electro region for a while now, producing music with a fun spin on it, but with that really saw-toothed hard edge. Check this track out now!

Carnage - Ultra 2013 Aftermovie

DJ Carnage took UMF by storm when he unleashed his incredible set upon Miami. The larger than life producer has huge plans for the future as well as opinionated views surrounding trap. He has released a short aftermovie of his performance and journey around Ultra. Also check out his latest preview of his collaboration with New and Used. I think that he is one of the producers who has consistently delivered exceptional tracks in the ever changing trap genre as well as adapting to different genres.

Sander van Doorn & DubVision vs. MAKO feat. Mariana Bell - Into the Light

I posted a preview of this track last month saying i couldn't wait for the release, well it's finally here, a big room progressive banger with beautiful vocals and really uplifting synth work.

Duo from London, Taiki & NUlight have fresh sounding tunes with unique style. Check out some of there best tracks..... Possibly a potential new genre 'Carnival' but not sure if its 100% official. Haven't seen much more about it so may not be right. But... if it was to kick of, i think there's high potential that it would fit in with urban underground sector.

Rashid Ajami & Jerome Robins - Unstoppable ( Tube & Berger Remix )

German deep house/ electronic producers Tube and Berger take on remix duties in this mesmerising tech house track, featuring consistent tech synths and relaxing and repetitive lyrics. Be sure to check this one out.

Huge release. Trance legend and DJ Mag's number 1 DJ for the 5th time Armin van Buuren, perhaps the most talented producer out there releases his 5th studio album. With the official album out on the 3rd of May, you can catch an exclusive here with a download link below. This album features much more than expected in my opinion. Oozing with euphoric melodies and complex chords, listening to every single track is extremely satisfying. With the previously released ' Waiting for the Night' and ' This is what it feels like' proving to be huge hits, the rest of the album is incredible. Stand out tracks are ' Who's afraid of 138 ', ' Reprise ', ' Intense ' and his collaboration with NERVO in ' Turn This love around.'
